Two sisters' reviews of Young Adult and Middle Grade books, inspired by their lovely library.
Thank you so so much to Cristina over at Girl in the Pages, and Brin over at Brin’s Book Blog! I’m actually a little disappointed that it was those two fabulous ladies who nominated us, because now I can’t nominate them!
The requirements for the nomination:
1.) Thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
2.) List the rules and display the award.
3.) Add 7 facts about yourself.
4.) Nominate 15 other bloggers (or as many as you can) and comment on one of their posts to let them know they have been nominated.
5.) Display the award logo and follow the blogger who nominated you.
7 Facts about Gwen & Kate:
1.) I (Gwen speaking) am terrible at Scrabble (like really really horrible), but am pretty good at Bananagrams (if I do say so myself… I’m pretty good when playing Bananagrams in Latin too!).
2.) Kate is currently playing the banjolele (a combination of banjo and ukelele).
3.) We just bought our first hard shoes, used for Irish dance (think Riverdance style), and we’re very excited! We’ve learned some hard shoe dances before, but only in softshoes, but the experience is entirely different (and much much less painful). (I’m wearing them now to break into them — and they spent the night bent backwards under my mattress to stretch them out.)
4.) My greatest fear is missing the school bus in the morning. Well, not really my greatest fear, but certainly the one that plagues my nightmares the most!
5.) Kate is an absolute mermaid (excerpt for the sea shell bra), and it is impossible to get her out of the water once she’s in it. Pools are preferable (baths don’t count).
6.) We love love love book sales (big surprise)! We went to a fantastic one last night, and got a huge book haul (post on the way)!
7.) Kate dyed the tips of her hair red with henna this summer, and again this fall, and it looks pretty stylish (especially when she wears this old fedora she inherited from our uncle)!
